A very popular berry, it has a nutty seed at the center and juicy flesh. Good for food and medicinal uses.
Tiny, densely packed spiky leaves grow on the stems in a dense mat along the ground, and help to distinguish this berry from the others.
Traditional uses also include the branches being layered for mattresses in igloos, and to clean the barrel of guns.
